June weddings in Northern Michigan have a magic all their own, and Hannah and Atticus’ wedding at Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey, Michigan was nothing short of breathtaking. June 27 truly delivered the perfect Northern Michigan wedding day - beautiful weather, a perfect view of the lake, and a sense of true connection & love that carried through every moment.
From the classic elegance of their style to the deep intentionality behind every detail, this day was a true reflection of Hannah and Atticus’ love for one another and for the people closest to them.
A Classic & Elegant Northern Michigan Wedding Style | Petoskey Wedding Venue
Hannah and Atticus leaned into a beautiful, timeless aesthetic. The wedding party wore classic black - elegant black bridesmaid dresses paired with black tuxes & bowties for the groomsmen. Hannah absolutely took everyone’s breath away in her classic ballgown, a look that felt regal, romantic, and completely fitting for the grandeur of the Perry Hotel. She truly looked like royalty.
This refined style paired beautifully with the historic charm of Stafford’s Perry Hotel, one of Petoskey’s most iconic wedding venues.
A First Look Full of Emotion
Seeing Hannah and Atticus together on their wedding day was incredibly touching. Any nerves or worries instantly melted away the moment they saw each other during their first look. One of the most emotional moments came when Hannah surprised Atticus with custom cufflinks featuring their dog’s face - a thoughtful, personal gift that brought Atticus to tears.
Following their first look, they shared private vows on the Perry Hotel’s stunning wraparound porch, overlooking Lake Michigan. With the water stretching out behind them and the quiet intimacy of the moment, it was one of those memories that felt sacred — a pause in the day that belonged just to them.
A Joyful Ceremony
Hannah & Atticus held a Catholic Mass for their ceremony at St. Francis Xavier Church, which was only a few minutes away from the Perry. I loved that they were able to hold a ceremony that has such deep meaning and tradition.
During their ceremony, Hannah and Atticus exchanged loving glances and giggles, and their excitement was undeniable - especially after their first kiss as newlyweds. Their joy was infectious.

Portrait Locations in Petoskey for the Timeless Bride
For Hannah and Atticus, we visited two distinct portrait locations, each bringing its own feel to the gallery. First, we stopped at a park along the water, where lush green grass met the bright blues of Lake Michigan. The open space, fresh color palette, and natural light created images that felt joyful, airy, and distinctly Northern Michigan.
Just minutes away, we transitioned to a more architectural location - a setting that felt timeless and refined, with clean lines and classic textures. This stop added a cool, editorial edge to their portraits and brought beautiful contrast to the softness of the lakeside images.
Having both locations so close together allowed us to create incredible variety without rushing the timeline, giving Hannah and Atticus a gallery that feels dynamic, elevated, and true to the setting.
A Reception Thoughtfully Designed for Guests
The reception was filled with heartfelt speeches from family, joyful celebration, and thoughtful details at every turn. Guests enjoyed classy espresso martinis while celebrating Hannah and Atticus late into the evening.
One of the most meaningful details was Hannah and her mom’s year-long tradition leading up to the wedding - they spent months hunting for Petoskey stones, which were placed at every guest’s seat as a keepsake to take home. It was such a labor of love and a beautiful reflection of how deeply Hannah and Atticus care for their guests.
A Perfectly Executed Vision
Every element of the day came together seamlessly thanks to the incredible planning and execution by Danielle of Futtitinni Events. The vision Hannah and Atticus dreamed up was carried out with care, intention, and professionalism, allowing the couple to be fully present and enjoy every moment.
Overall, I was completely blown away by the love, thoughtfulness, and intention woven into this day. Hannah and Atticus’ wedding was a true celebration of marriage, family, and meaningful connection - one I won’t soon forget.
