Hi there! I'm wedding and engagement photographer based in GR, and I'm so excited to share this engagement session with you! Juno + Bradley had a vision for a classy engagement session right in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. We picked some spots with beautiful architecture and rooftop views. They had the best energy and were very in love which makes photos easyyyyyy. The way they look at each other, just so cute!
Downtown Grand Rapids is always a great choice for engagement sessions. I love the charm, architecture, and timelessness of the city! When you're taking engagement photos, you want to think about the location, colors, style and all the factors for what you'd like to use them for! Lots of people use engagement photos for save the dates, albums and prints around their home. For save the dates, you'll want to either go neutral, or have an ode to your wedding colors! For prints around your home, consider your style and the colors you like to decorate with.
For this session, our first stop was the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out. It's got that old-world charm, with a lobby that's straight out of a fairytale. Marble columns, grand chandeliers, and a whole lot of romance. The outside of the building is where I focus most of my sessions. The architecture is perfect for a classy vibe!
Then we went to a parking garage rooftop, that gives in my opinion, the most beautiful rooftop view of the city for photos! Juno + Bradley loved this spot, and we had so much fun running around with the city surrounding us.
Juno + Bradley decided to go for a timeless and classy style for this session. The couple's choice of outfits – a suit and open back white dress – was on point. The colors were perfect for the backdrop, very neutral and classic!
