Elena and Charlie first met at the Kirby House, a well-known Grand Haven restaurant filled with history and charm. Starting their session there felt incredibly fitting. Photographing them in front of the building where they first crossed paths added a layer of nostalgia that can’t be recreated in just any location.

I love imagining them looking back on these images decades from now - showing their future kids where they met, remembering what the town looked like, and seeing their younger selves standing in the very place that started it all. These are the kinds of photos that grow more meaningful with time.

After capturing their downtown photos, we made our way to the beach (just a short drive away) where Elena changed into a satin dress that felt effortless and romantic against the lakeshore.
